Christopher Longmoon President, Web Designer (View Résumé)
Christopher started to hear about the Web while working at a Borders Books & Music in Rochester, NY in the early 90s. A flood of books about the subject came into the store and grabbed Chris' attention. Shortly after moving to Seattle, where he sold computer equipment at a telephone computer catalog, he picked up an HTML book and started experimenting online. The web turned out to be the perfect medium for exploring his interests in art, graphic design, music, video, writing, and programming. Sensing the potential for creative freedom, Christopher founded LunaWorks, Inc. in 1998.
Christopher joined forces with Mark Pearlscott—a friend since childhood—in 2001, thereby dramatically expanding LunaWorks' web services.
Mark Pearlscott CTO, Programmer
Mark started working with computers around 1979. The initial fascination for Mark was to figure out what computers could do. That led to entertainment and computer gaming. Computer gaming offered fast-paced reaction-based games, unlike traditional card or board games. In order to get the games to run optimally, Mark found himself spending time 'under the hood' of the computer. Thus began the development of real computer work and the start of his programming career.
By 1999, having tinkered with computers for twenty years, Mark started his first official programming job. One job led to another, and one technology led to another...and a few more years brought Mark to LunaWorks, Inc. Here at LunaWorks, Mark programs and develops databases using various languages and platforms, contributes to Flash development, and keeps our internal network and web servers running smoothly.
